Hi
Recently started taking a Probiotic recommended for recurring gut problems, I think my symptoms are improving. Has anyone else tried this? How did you get on?

My OH has been having them for six months and swears by them.Yet I've read several articles saying there offer no real benefit, but after many years of different tummy problems he is now symptom free.

I suffered with IBS and started taking Multibionta tablets and within about 2 months things were drastically improved.

Might have been a coincidence of course but I do think they helped. just not immediately.

I recently had to take strong antibiotics post surgery which upset my stomach. My surgeon (not known for anything remotely woo) recommended yakult. It worked!

Thanks, that's good to know! Even if there's no hardcore evidence, am happy to go with it making me feel better! Placebo effect or otherwise!!!!

Actimel works for me.

I am on prescription probiotics after bowel surgery. They really seem to help, and if I stop taking them for a while I really notice the difference :)

Another vote for probiotics here ( IBS and stomach surgery )
I also take Aloe Vera juice to even out my wild bowel sings .

Would you suggest probiotics after the norovirus?

My stomach is awful, having not eaten for 3/4 days - I had half a jacket pot today & feel awful again Confused

Bio-Kult enthusiast here! People underestimate how important gut flora is for overall health and wellbeing Smile

I've been taking them for about three weeks now and the effects were almost immediate. My gut has always been a bit off but much worse the last couple of years (I blame a series of vicious stomach bugs from 2010-2012) - very irregular, often bloated, constipated, sometimes the opposite.

I started taking Optibac sachets and it all regulated very quickly. It's not totally fixed but it's much better.

I believe this is true, too. Hope so anyway!
