any ideas what this could be caused by? For the past couple of weeks I've felt like my brain is wrappped in soggy cotton wool, at times I also feel quite wobbly and slightly nauseous. At first I thought I was going down with a bug of some kind but nothing's materialised - I'm not 'ill' and can function but I need to concentrate very hard and it's annoying me to know I'm just not as sharp as usual

I'm getting enough sleep (mostly) and eating well and am in generally good health

I would have blood tests done to see what your hormone levels are like in relation to your thyroid gland.

Yes and also check iron levels. I was anaemic for a long time with similar symptoms.

Thanks - I've made an appointment to see my GP next week

I'd been reluctant to go as it all sounded so nebulous but I looked up under active thyroid symptoms and quite a few apply - my nails have been brittle for a few months now but I hasn't thought it might be related to anything else
