Weeing during period

Does anyone else have to wee more during their period? I came on this morning and can't stop going! I almost feel as though I'm getting cystitis although there is no burning and my urine is nearly completely clear. It's getting annoying now!

I'm in my mid fifties and haven't had a period for 4 months since I had some uterine polyps removed and hope I never gave another one.The last few years I have had epic long and very heavy periods that led to anaemia, and the other thing that got me down was the constant need to pee.Honestly I got bored with going to the toilet, and could be up 3 times a night also sometimes. So you really have my sympathies.Ironically although it wasn't down to a urine infection(although I did experience 2 very nasty bouts of cystitis)I found drinking more plain water and cutting back on coffee did help. The temptation was to cut back on fluids but that's not good.It got embarrassing when out at the cinema ,meals etc constantly tripping off to the loo.Iv'e suddenly lost 10 lbs in several weeks which has prompted comments and now I'm concerned enough to go to the doctors - again- but I do wonder if it's all fluid related because I need the loo much less, and can hold on much easier.
