Periodic dermatitis

My dd has a rash under her mouth for the past year. Dr said acne and prescribed two weeks fucidin which is an antibiotic cream. Because the rash is under her mouth I think periodic dermatitis is more likely. Her rash is responding well to fucidin but she still has a small patch that is dry and flaky. Anyone has periodic dermatitis, please share your experience. What cream do you use and what do you do to prevent it from coming back. Thanks for your help.

Perioral dermatitis not periodic.

I have Peri Oral Dermatitis now and again - it takes a course of Lymecyline to clear it up.

I spent years visiting the GP about it, and being sent away with fucidin etc- which helped at the time, but then had a rebound effect and made it worse.

Does your DD's rash look like small, blisters with redskin ?

The spots were tiny like pimples, no blisters. With the use of fucidin, the spots have now cleared but the skin is still red, itchy and flaky.
