Can anyone help?

Is it soft and moveable? Chances are it's a fatty lump. I have loads of them

emkana · 19/04/2015 05:54

Thanks for answering. It's quite hard, slightly painful to touch, about pea size.

Thigh or groin?
ingrowing hair?
Lymph node?

Lots of not scary possibilities...

emkana · 19/04/2015 08:16

Outside of thigh, not directly under skin and can't see it, just feel it.

My uncle a gp once told me that we all have lots of odd lumps in our bodies but just don't notice

emkana · 19/04/2015 10:04

Is it a good or a bad sign that it hurts when touched?

It's probably nothing even with discomfort but yes go get it looked at. I've had loads of lumps over the years and non have been anything so far

Probably a cyst, i had similar on my collarbone. Went after a while. Mobile is good. just under the skin is good. painful is good. Just as well to get it checked just so you don't send yourself loopy. inner or outer thigh?

Em it would be an odd place to get a primary cancer. If you have a history of say melanoma then you might have cause to be concerned but otherwise it isn't in a typical lymph node area and I would really not worry too much x

emkana · 21/04/2015 12:13

Thank you

Sounds like a fatty lump or the after effects of a bruise or an abscess/cyst. I wouldn't worry.

griselda101 · 21/04/2015 22:16

i have one in my back, it's squishy / moveable, if it's the same thing it's called a lipoma, and they are not dangerous!

Truckingalong · 21/04/2015 22:18

Lipoma.
