Gallbladder problems without gallstones

I've just been scanned and told I may have acalculous cholecystitis basically gallbladder problems with no stones. I've been given antibiotics and referred to surgeons. I didn't really ask my GP many questions as I had children with me at appointment. I just wondered if anyone had any experience of this as googled like mad and not really finding much relevant. I'm on antibiotics and am hoping this may be enough but also thinking I maybe kidding myself.
The pain is intermittent and normally quite short lived but when it comes it is pretty bad. I suppose I just need to wait for appointment and make a list of questions for then. Just impatient for answers.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Yes, I did. I had biliary dyskinesia, I had to have a camera down the throat to check I wasn't hiding stones in the bile duct then I had a HIDA scan.

I had mine out 5 years ago and whilst I am a lot better it hasn't been a total cure. I'm still a lot better without it though.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
