So whats wrong with my foot?

My foot aches just at the arch and ball of foot. I can feel it even now when i stretch it out. It just aches rather than pain. It doesnt seem to matter what shoes i wear, my left foot just constantly aches. It almost feels like the ache of a muscle that has been stretched. Any ideas?

What style of shoes do you usually wear?

Greengardenpixie · 12/04/2015 15:43

Most normally flat ones and i have quite wide feet so i have to have some width at the toes so tend to buy only rounded toes. i occasionally wear wedges or a slight heel but no more than about 7cm at the very most.

Thanks but what is it? Have Google but it doesn't affect my heel. Does it have to?

No mine sounds the same as yours I had it really bad a few years ago. Doctor told me the calloused skin on ball of my foot contributed to it. So many footner socks later I solved that. Doctor also advised me to wear blocks in my shoes you get used to them or wear heels. I've got very flat feet which made it worse. Eventually the pain went and stayed away until recently and I don't know why. Voltarol takes the edge of the Pain some days it's worse than others. I'm debating weather to see GP as they didn't do a lot last time I got painkillers but they really weren't effective. Good luck op hope you're out of pain soon .

Thanks littlepumpkin. It comes and goes. Strange how yours has come back. Will try some of the ideas you suggested :)

Plantar fasciitis bought on by collapsing arch when you walk? Buy some arch support - stay away from flats

The calf, heel, arch are all interlinked. Can you try arch supports initially?
