I have fairly regular periods 30-31 day cycle, recently scan showed pcos on ovariess I am still waiting for my blood test results to confirm diagnosis.

Just on my period these days, it seems very light, other times its heavy and flooding with few clots (sorry TMI). What was PCOS like for you?

Do you also have moods going up and down often?

Take care X

Mine doesn't make much sense to be honest. Even my gp is confused by it.

I had two scans done, the first showed cysts but the second didn't (in between I had a horrendous period which might have had something to do with it). The last blood test very very strongly indicated PCOS and I have all the physical symptoms like lot of hair on my face etc.

In terms of periods I only get two or three a year (been that way since a teenager) and they are awful (hence the test being done), I have noticed very very light bleeding which my GP thinks might be PCOS but that only happened once. I've also had a test done that shows I'm pre menopause as well which might be relevant to what's happening with me. I also have endometriosis in my bowel (further complications when I do get a period).

I have mental health problems so mood wise I'm not sure if PCOS or MH causing mood problems, certainly my MH problems get worse about a week or so before I have my period and I struggle and lot emotionally when I have them. I also get wierd food cravings.

There are apparently some meds that can be taken which can help (due to other conditions I have it isn't suitable for me), I'm not sure about other treatment. I remember my GP saying diagnosis is based on two of three criteria being met out of ultrasound showing cysts/blood test and physical symptoms and that it can vary a lot between people, there are books about it not sure which are most helpful though as ive not found any to be particularly helpful and I don't have the option of attending hospital to see someone who knows more about PCOS.

I've no idea if that helps you or not, it's just my experience.
