If it's not a cyst then what is it?

So I had a scan today and was told that it's not cysts, but they wouldn't tell me anything else and said to wait for doctor to call with results they said something is there but is best for doctor to explain so now I worrying like hell the scan was of my uterus and ovaries they seemed pretty concerened for my left ovary In Particular any advice on what it could be and should I b worried

Hi Mariam. I think you will remain worried no matter what anyone says on here and you need to talk to your GP tomorrow, if you have not already done so. Most hospital test results are downloaded to GP practice relatively quickly, unless it is the sort of test where specimen need to be cultured in lab for days, so GP may already have had result sometime today (along with lots of other peoples results that are waiting to be looked at). You cannot go through weekend worrying the way you are at present so call in the morning and ask to talk to GP - most do telephone consultation. If the result isn't through GP can phone the scan department and talk to them. GP will also know your medical history so can hopefully give you some reassurance. Tell GP exactly what they said to you, so he/she knows why you are so concerned. Best wishes and try not to think the worst.
