A few months ago I had a fall and damaged my front teeth. I saw the dentist and was told the only option was to have teeth removed and given false ones. Dentures have been made and for various reasons I was delayed in going back to have them fitted, Since then fall teeth seem to have feel more firm and after another X Ray I am told there is a chance they can me saved through root canal treatment. Also one of my other teeth is out of line but was told only way would be to see a specialist and could cost £1000. I would like to get a 2nd opinion is this an option.? or am I stuck with this dentist Also they want me to pay for the denture whether I have it or not. Any thoughts please

Under the NHS rules, the dentist can charge for treatment before its provided.

You can see as many different dentists as you like. You will have to pay though.

Maybe your point was unclear. Did you actually ask a question? I'm sure all the other thoughts you received will have been helpful tho Hmm

You are perfectly within your rights to see another dentist for a second opinion :) either St the same practice or at a different one. You will be charged for a consultation at most places though. With regards to the denture they will expect you to pay for this as they have to pay the laboratory.
