No swelling or anything. Just large parts of me hurt for a lot of the time. Hands and forearms particularly bad. Went for a walk yesterday, but struggled to actually walk, as shins so stiff.

Went to walk in last week, as neck and shoulders were just excruciating. I feel about 90

I have pernicious anaemia and feel like that if my B12 levels are low. Have you had a blood test recently?

Low vitamin D levels?

I've got a doctors appointment next week. I'll see what she says. I'm bloody fed up of it though!

Could be any number of things, most of them fairly easily sorted once diagnosed.

You can sit and wonder, taking several months trying all sorts of vitamins etc or just get to your GP and explain what's going on.

Have a good think and make a list so you don't miss anything - how are you sleeping? are you feeling emotionally down? is there any hormonal element at play? how's your skin/hair/nails? do you have relatives with any long term hereditary conditions that might be linked? is your diet restricted in any major way?

My first thought was it sounds like my thyroid/B12 issues but could be any number of other things too, so blood tests are the only way to know for sure.

Hope you feel better soon.

X-post, hope your GP is understanding and doesn't fob you off. Make sure you are specific about where it hurts and what you're doing at the time (i.e. not just "my arms ache", but "I have shooting pains up my wrists when doing xyz") The more info you can give, hopefully the better idea you'll give them of which tests to run.
