I have this re- occurring illness (about very five years for the last 20 years) - when I get really run down I get this eye problem - uvitus (inflection of the coloured part of my eye) I have had drops every hour for a week - and then every two hours - but I am really scared as I think I have lost vision in my eye…..the pain has gone but my eye is still blurry …I am still on meds four times a day - could this be causing it? I have blurry film over vision - its difficult to read with it as this was my stronger eye…and the other one is not so good - waffling now but has anyone got any ideas - I am due at Moorfields eye hospital on the 20th - I know its a symptom of harsher things like Aids but I know its not that - had tests when pregnant etc - its a lack of auto immune system ….I think its just as I am run down caring for my asthmatic son…no sleep since before half term ..moan mona moan….just want to know any clues on this loss of vision? NOt helped by the fact I am an editor …need my eyes - don't we all?

If your vision has deteriorated significantly in the past few hours/days then you need to be seen sooner than that. I'm currently in the middle of a bout of iritis (I think it is the same as uveitis) caused by surgery that didn't go to plan. It is very painful and very worrying. I cut down on the eye drops (as instructed) and the symptoms came straight back. :(
