Rheumatoid Arthritis?

Hi is looking likely that MIL has this. It has suddenly come on and she is in a lot of pain. There is so much stuff on net that it is confusing to find out info.

I really don't know anything about it? Does it increase in severity as it goes on, can it be treated, what is the treatment?

My cousin developed this very suddenly. All the joints in her hands swelled, wouldn't bend and she struggled to use a keyboard.

Her GP referred her to a specialist, who would try a variety of drugs on her until they found one that worked.
But he also told her that several of his patients controlled R A by diet and some were helped by a herbalist.

So she tried the diet. It worked. If she cuts all grains, dairy and the potato family out of her diet she has no symptoms or pain.

Thanks for reply. I think she will look at diet once formal diagnosis.

Anyone else got experience of this too? What is the treatment?
