I am 30+2 with DC2. When pg with DC1 I got an ingrown toenail in my big toe - never known pain like it. Went to the chiropodist 3 times to have nails trimmed and it eventually resolved.
Last night I woke up with a severe throbbing pain in my second toe (next to big toe) which was swollen. After a few hours the pain lessened but it was sore throughout the day. I woke up again tonight with an excruciating throbbing pain so much so I got up, soaked my foot in Hot salted water and took some paracetamol.
I have posted a pic as I (can't sleep) want to know where to go from here. Does it look like an ingrowning toe nail? Looks infected to me at the bottom of the nail but how could it be ingrowing there? Wont get a GP appt until next week now & don't think theres any point going to A&E as not sure what they could offer, but definitely can't wait till next week.
