Piles???

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and have quite an embarrassing problem. I've always suffered with constipation even before becoming pregnant but yesterday and today my anus has become so sore and swollen. When I pass a stool (which is not easy) I am losing a lot of fresh blood. I've had a feel around and around my anus is mainly swollen with potential small piles but nothing big. I'm worried it's something more sinister. I'm also very worried that when I go into labour my bum will not cope!!!!! I've booked into see doctor for next weekend but I just want to know if anyone else has had this or any advice???

Yes it sounds like a classic case of piles.
you can buy creams and suppositories in the chemist (and I think the supermarket) which are safe to use during pregnancy. Anusol is one brand that I know is fine for pregnant women but there will be others.
Also try not to get constipated (obvious I know) as this makes the problem worse.
Your nurse or GP can prescribe stronger treatments if needed.
