Antibiotics and probiotics - a crazy question

I am on antibiotics to get rid of sinusitis after trying the steam inhalation until I turned puce, on the advice of mumsnetters and am dreading the inevitable bout of thrush that seems to accompany them. So I thought I should take probiotics to help encourage the good bacteria in my lady parts. But will this cancel out the antibiotics. Or what? Wisdom please. So long as it doesn't involve steam inhalation.

No it won't cancel the antibiotics it will help replace friendly bacteria that antibis kill off so its a great idea to take them through out and after the courses has finished

BTW next time I got rid of my simnus infection by making a flush with manuka honey. I made a solution and push it through my nasal cavity with a syringe
It worked a treat. No antibiotics and I was better. Pain was gone in 24 hrs though I had a lot of congestion which took a full two weeks to go but I avoided the dreaded abs!

Thanks madeye. Will try the honey tip next time. I was just reading the leaflet and it says thrush as a side effect is only felt in 1 in 10000 people. Am I really that unlucky?
