Think there's something wrong. Dr. Google isn't helping

I was supposed to have a doctors appointment this afternoon and was all ready to go but they've just called to cancel it and now am getting myself in a right state.

I have some weird symptoms - since I was 20 I've had 'cervix' issues, told I had an eroding cervix which explained why I bled after sex sometimes. So I've just always sort of lived with it, pretty untroubled by it.

But at this moment, I have had a bloody/dark blood discharge for 2 weeks, I have lower back pain (which I cannot think is through an injury and seems to be getting worse) and I just feel unwell, knackered and unmotivated - which is just not like me at all.

I am fit - lots running events. I have been eating properly (that has been an issue previously - not enough), not drinking and don't smoke.

Dr. Google tells me I have cervical cancer.

I can't see a doctor now til Thursday unless I go for an emergency appointment tomorrow. Is it an emergency? What do I do? Do I really have cervical cancer? I don't want it. And can't stop crying now today - I've never been ill.

Try not to panic. When did you last have a smear test? Could you be pregnant? Had similar symptoms with an ectopic pregnancy. Lots of reasons for symptoms that are not sinister. I think you should go for emergency apointment tomorrow.

Step away from Google. It's default setting seems to be cancer.

When was your last smear?
See your doctor but don't panic.

LadyBlaBlah · 31/03/2015 18:54

Last smear was 4 years ago.

I've had an ectopic about 4 years ago .....so just done a test. It was negative.Hmm

The bleeding is quite heavy tonight. It came about 2 days after my last period Hmm

If you had a smear test 4 years ago its unlikely you have something really wrong. I am not sure if a pregnancy test is always sensitive enough to detect ectopic pregnancy. If you are still in pain suggest you go to to a walk in centre especially with past history of an ectopic. My bleeding with an ectopic was like prune juice which is quite characteristic. I was in pain for several weeks before I was diagnosed. Kept being told it was a miscarriage.

LadyBlaBlah · 31/03/2015 21:18

Yeah, prune juice is the right description! Blush

Think I'll go to the docs tomorrow.
It is a bit ectopic-y and of varying flow just like last time.

I was pregnant 4 years after my last smear so went after dd was born. Got called back and had to have treatment due to changes. The specialist said things are usually slow growing/changing in that area and it would have been another few years before it changed into anything 'very serious' so please try not to panic. Go on Thursday and tell them everything then. Hope you're ok Thanks

Dappymummy · 01/04/2015 13:25

Let us know how you get on Lady.

LadyBlaBlah · 01/04/2015 20:31

Thank you.
I went to the docs today and he has referred for urgent cervix exam tomorrow morning and did a blood test for pregnancy.

Guess I'll find out a bit more tomorrow. Don't know why I'm so scared. I'm not normally doom and gloom. Horrible.

I hope everything's alright. It must be a terrible worry for you.

Dr Google told me I had lung cancer last year (nodules appeared on X-ray) it was scarring caused by chicken pox.
Dr Google also told me I had breast cancer, it was eczema!
Chances are it is not, see your GP asap for reassurance and tests.
