I've just taken one for the first time. What can I expect?

I passed out in my dinner about 20 mins after I took one Grin.

Sorted the spasming muscles in my neck though!

You'll still be sore but your back won't be in spasm any more. You'll also sleey like a baby - they totally knocked me out. Hope you feel better soon.

*sleep

No pain. They are amazing Smile but don't even think about driving on them!

Each person is different, also depends on mg lowest being 2mg
Should work really well

OinkBalloon · 30/03/2015 20:32

Well, I'm still conscious Wink but I'm in PJs and in bed - just in case!

Still in pain. And I forgot to take another ibuprofen. Bugger. I'll get dh to bring them to me.

I threw my back out once and was put on Naproxin, Diazepam and co-codomol... well, i didnt leave my bed for a week, slept the whole time and didn't feel pain. very effective but dont be caught into thinking they help healing, just numb the pain.

digerd · 31/03/2015 11:35

2mg is very low and has little effect. 10mg x2 should knock out most people, but advise anyone to take that strength immediately prior to getting into bed.
I took 10 mg when weighing 7stone 12 before bed and was fine.

Mum took 20mg after dad's funeral and we had to help her upstairs, undress and into bed as she was "drunk". She weighed around 9.5 stone. 5' in height.

I keep diazepam for emergency pain relief after I've taken diclofenac if it hasn't worked! It doesn't tend to knock me out, but then tremadol makes me very very sick (so I won't be taking that again!)

I slept badly last night, and felt fragile this morning, but can't believe how well today has gone. I've been virtually pain-free on ibuprofen, and almost fully mobile. This has never before happened on the day after a muscle spasm. It ususlly takes a week for me to get to this stage. What a revelation!

20mg is a huge dose. 5 leaves me incredibly chilled and liable to drift off. For severe spasm I take three times a day for two days which really helps, even a low dose of 2-4 mgs. You're looking to relax muscle not knock yourself out for a week.Smile

Glad it's improved. Now be careful.
