Ds2 diagnosed with impetigo today, got anti biotic cream and oral suspension. Booked follow up appointment for Wednesday pm. At bedtime tonight noticed ds1 had a few small spots on his body, so we put some antiobiotic cream, these spots are nowhere near as big as ds2's. So should I make an appointment at Drs for him tomorrow ( possible wait of 1 hour 10 mins as was today, even though we HAD a booked appointment) or keep putting the cream on and get Dr to look at it when I take ds2 on Wednesday.

hi nettie, I would say get antibiotics for ds1 as soon as possible both my dd's had it in the summer it was awful, dd2 got a secondary infection and spent 6 days in hospital. So i'd say fight with antibiotics asap, you could just leave a message for gp explaining that ds1 has it and ask for a prescription our gp's often does this which is easier than getting an appointment. Hope they get over it soon.
