Hi! My first post on here so im not sure if ive got the right place..
Anyway!

I am normally on the contraceptive pill microgyon 30. I went to get my prescription today and was given rigevidon - told ir is exactly the same drug and works the same.

My question is, are they allowed to change this without telling me prior? Also, as I am currently on my 7 day break from the pill from my last pack of microgyon 30, when i come to take rigevidon after the 7 days will it still be affective as normal like it would be with Microgyon?

I appreciate that may not make sense but please someone help, I could do with the comfort of knowing I will be protected as normal?

Yes they can change it without telling you if it's the same active ingredient and it's just the brand name that is different.
Start taking it after your break just like you would the microgynon. If it is the same ingredients then it will work straight away just like your old pill.
