TMI alert, need to talk about discharge!

I've been to the doctors and been tested but I'm just awaiting the results.
I've been having discharge but the weird thing is.. I can go hours without anything then it suddenly looks like I've lost my mucus plug. I'm not pregnant. I didn't mention this to the doctor, I just said it was a lot. Then tonight, I've notice it had a bit of blood in it, well it was pink. I've had this before but I assumed it was something to do with my period, but I came off about 2 weeks ago. just a bit puzzled as to what it could be.

Someone I knew years ago had this and it turned out they had a Polyp. Had it removed and that was that.

Could this be normal egg white mucus that happened at ovulation? Sometimes there is a lot of it and quite blobby?
