Sickness and Diahrea(sp) since last wednesday???

it came on wed afternoon..big stomache pains..took lots of imodium..seemed to go off...felt really really rough all next day but no s&d..felt worse friday..then yesterday woke up threw up, stomache pains,then in afternoon diarhea(sp) again..wore off about 6pm after taking 2 imodium now back again this morn..painful and feel totally dehydrated.
what should i do?
is it worth visit to doc or can i buy/do something myself?

Have you got rehydration salts?

I took imodium last week for the first time after a day of diarrhoea. It backed me up and I ended up vomiting five days later! Sometimes I think drugs can make problems worse. Maybe your body needs to get rid of a bug or something. Perhaps it would be worth having a word with your practice nurse?

Flat coca cola (the full fat variety) can also help with rehydration - a doctor told me this when I was in hospital with dehydration during pregnancy!

i would go to the dr-flat 7-up is good for rehydration-pour some into a glass and then poour into another glass a few times to flatten it-hope you feel better soon you poor thing

my family had that last weeks!! first dd threw up, then ds and dp and then me!! it was so wierd we were fine one min and then got sick the next!! recovered very quick thugh

on loo all morn, took dd to dancing after shoving down imodium..nhs nurse rng me to say im dehydrated..drink sips every 10 mins, starve until diarhea stops and take it easy!!..yeah..all but last one!
had kiddies party this afty..so stayed at back of room while dp did the parent party thing..been ok, just drinking water, nothing else today and been alright till about an hour ago now pain, sickness and stomach ache is back

oh yeah and nurse also said flat coke, but TBH i can only just about stomach water!
