i can sympathize-i have a fallen heel which is very painful and debilitating and like you i have been limping along with it for over a year! my heel really hurts first thing in the morning and after sitting for any lengh of time-it makes me feel 180 sometimes

i havent had the cortisone injections which my dr recommended-but i try to wear shoes with a bit of heel to help raise foot and putting an ice pack on the heel can give some temporary relief-special insoles might help Boots have them or maybe get specially made ones from chiropadist-poor us

ugh dont blame you skanga, for not having the injections.....sounds painful. think imight ask my doc about mine and get some stronger painkillers if poss. i spose i worry that if the tendon tore then that would be a long recovery. it has got worse but i dont know if it can stay like this forever or if they just snap in the end?
