Can anybody tell me what kind of condition my (adult) DS will be in when he leaves the dentist's treatment room after waking sedation?

I have had this several times for implants. I was little bit woozy afterwards but I was fine in about half an hour. Mind you I did go home to bed. But your DS is young and will recover quickly.
I am presuming that you will be going with him.
Ask your Dentist about after care. Ie will he have sore gums and should he gargle to sooth them or not? Your DS will probably get a course of anti biotics to counter act infection.

Thanks so much for this holeinmyheart. I am going with him and just wondered how steady he will be after the event (he's a lot bigger than me).

We've not had any experience of this method of sedation before and all the literature and forms have created an impression that he will be completely 'out of it'. You've put my mind at rest, thanks.
