Cortisone injection - immediate side effects

Hi
I'm having a cortisone injection in my elbow next week. What can I expect immediately afterwards does anyone know?
I normally walk a Guide Dog that day and I'm not sure if I'll be up to it or if i'll need to rest my arm.

TIA

Have had several in my shoulder, i didn't notice any change for the first 24 hours, after that shoulder was slightly more painful for a day or two before feeling better

Thanks truffle it. Do you remember if you were advised to do anything particular immediately afterwards?

Had one years ago and think I was advised to rest it for a day or two so maybe depends on how much dog pulls or if you can use your other arm? The god news was it worked. Oddly it left a spot on my arm as if the pigment had all gone away which lasted ages. Insignificant but odd.

I was advised to not lift anything for 24 hours, but it worked well for a while
