Osteotomy - how long did it help you?

I had an osteotomy almost 7 years ago. After a failed lateral release and clean up it, once healed, provided great relief.
I know at the time they said I was probably looking at 10 years or so pain relief, all being good. I was 25 at the time.

The last few weeks my knee has started hurting again. I've been struggling to not limp. And tonight, even though I am just resting, it's twinging and painful. I'm thinking I may have to go back to the gp and mention it.

Has anyone else been in this situation. What was the next step for you?
