What is going on with DH and DS?

DH and DS both have small spots on the palms and fingers of their hands. I'm fine. DH says the spots feel a little prickly, DS hasn't mentioned them but he is only 3 so he is limited in how much he can express himself.

I wondered if it was hand, foot and mouth but the spots seem very small and as far as I can tell they don't have them in their mouths or on their feet.

DS seems completely healthy otherwise. DH says he feels a little under the weather but otherwise fine.

DS has eczema and I've read that spots on the palms can be a type of eczema, but it seems odd that DH should get it at the same time. He doesn't currently suffer from eczema anyway.

I was going to go out this afternoon with DS but now I don't know if I should.

Ah, I have this. It's pompholyx.

Well, it sounds very like it Grin, but I'm not a GP! If it is pompholyx, you can definitely go out etc.

Thank you for your help WastingMyYoungYears

I took them both to see the pharmacist as this is what was recommended by the NHS symptoms checker.

Pharmacist seems to think it some sort of dermatitis, probably like the one you described.

Started to take DC on the bus into town but he wanted to be sick. Not sure if it's related. He's had a sleep and we are now relaxing at home.

Hopefully it's nothing.

Oh no, I hope your DS is okay.

I know that my pompholyx is worse when I'm under the weather. Although if I look closely most of the time, I can find some of the tiny blisters. I don't think the cause is particularly well understood though.
