Me & DS have a cold - what can he have, and what can I have while BFing?

him - Medised or plain paracetamol syrup & ibruprofen. You, er, paracetamol and ibruprofen really. PITA isn't it? I liked hot ribena with soluble paracetamol in it - I convinced myself it was blackcurrant lemsip. Must say, that if you keep taking the paracetamol, it's surprisingly effective.

Avoid anything with aspirin in it. I am sure lemsip has aspirin. You can have paracetamol and ibuprofen. Cough remedies are actually a con mailnly but you can take a simple linctus if it makes you feel better. Better still trya teaspoon of honey for you. Baby will get plenty of antibodies in your breastmilk - use karvol capsules if breathing is blocked. Hope it passes soon.
