Whinge.
It hurts

It's where my underwear sits so I need to re-arrange and move things.

I've had it so often that last year I got given an immunisation with all the oldeeee's at the Dr's surgery.... it makes me feel young and healthy waiting with them all Wink

In all honesty, it's the pits Sad do you have a condition that affects the immune system? If so ask for aciclovir (permanently) to help avoid it again, is my advice.

YOu managed to get the vaccination thegirl?

DD has had shingles 6 times. It comes out every time she has another illness and she has a compromised immune system. WHen I asked at the GP surgery about the vaccination I was told she had to be 70 or 79 - she is 20.

I am planning on asking again as she has just had another bout of it - surely vaccination has to be cheaper for them and better for DD than prescribing aciclovir every time

Ah, no immunity problems but I had surgery 5 months ago (though I'd have thought my body would have recovered from that by now)

Still painful and the urge to itch (though I'm resisting, it wouldn't end well )

On Aciclovir for a week

I think I have this. Not been to doctor yet (can't get an appointment but that's a different winge). Is it a patch of little red spots that itch like anything? I don't have any other symptoms.

It's a horrible thing. Angel, you need to phone again and explain you think you've got shingles and need an urgent appointment. if within a few days of getting it, the Dr can prescribe anti viral medication. You can read up about it on google. I got really down when I had it, so every little helps.
