Right boob feels different ...

For the last couple of months my right boob has felt different to the left. I keep getting various tingles, and achey feelings in it which sometimes travel up to my armpit. The feelings did coincide with us getting a new puppy and I was carrying her around initially. Now that she is bigger, she pulls quite a bit on the lead so I'm wondering if the feelings could be due to that. However, I keep getting anxious that it could be breast cancer even though I haven't found any lump. I keep poking my boob to check and of course, this probably makes things worse as I am probably just irritating all the breast tissue with constant prodding and poking! I am seeing a Dr next week but in the meantime wondered if anyone could reassure me? The other thing to mention is that I am 50 so approaching menopause ...

Thanks.

Thanks Confused - you are right. I am going to ask for a mammogram because I turned 50 last April and should have been called for one. I am glad you were ok.
