Hashimotos and the pill

I've been put on the pill to stop spotting/bleeding (it varied) between periods and its had the opposite effect: four weeks of first-day-of-period-type bleeding.

Pap smear and ultrasound are clear.

I'm taking levo with the pill in the morning (specifically asked if I could do that and was told yes).

I've got this feeling it's thyroid related, dr has referred my to gynaecologist. Has anybody had this experience and it was thyroid related?

Have a google. Theres lots of stuff on this. The received wisdom appears to be dont take the combined pill at all if you have Hashis and if you take the POP, take it well away from your thyroxine, but you need to do some research and work this out for yourself.

Slightly anecdotal but my gyn recommends no pill if you have hashimotos.
