Breasts have gone up two cup sizes overnight

I'm very confused.

Yesterday I was a 34DD, bras fitted no problem. I woke up this morning with huge, Jordan-esque boobs. I have measured and according to an online calculator I should be wearing a 34F! My bra ripped today, so I know that this isn't growth that has crept up on me. They are also very sore.

The chances of me being pregnant are slim to none. I've taken two doses of Amitriptyline for backache, which according to Dr Google can (rarely) cause breast growth. Is this likely after 2x 10mg doses?!

Any ideas?

You can get mastitis even if you're not breastfeeding? Are they hot? Are you feverish?

Not feverish - they just feel like they do when I'm pregnant/breast feeding/right before my period. My period isn't due for at least a week, and they've never been obscenely large in the run up to it!

It's worse today! Had to buy a new bra to accommodate my poor, burning breasts!

I think you should go and see GP as this sounds very strange indeed.

I get breast swelling/tenderness with PMT. They did used to just change from one day to the next post ovulation. But if there is any redness at all then get them checked right away.

Sounds alot like mastitis. Did you see your doctor yet?

It sounds hormonal. Have you gone on the pill/ changed pill recently? POAS also a good idea.

This happened to me when I first went on the pill, in addition to going up 2 cup sizes, my breasts because very tender and sore and I got horrific mood swings.

Switching to a low oestrogen pill solved the problem for me, breasts went down a cup size (so still a cup size bigger than before which I was quite happy with) and they stopped feeling sore.

I'm not on the pill. Could be PM as period is due but it's never happened before! I didn't know mastitis is possible when not bf? I had it with DS1 and was really poorly. I'm not ill, I just have massive, sore breasts that are now too big for the new bra!
