Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease GP Management Question ??

I've tried looking into NICE guidelines, but dealing with chronic migraine & just can't make sense of it right now, so thought I would ask here instead.

With CDK3, how often are GPs meant to repeat blood tests to monitor CKD ??

I'm just not that confident with my GP, not least because she didn't actually tell me for a couple of years that my CKD had deteriorated, despite knowing I used NSAIDs for management of other health problems. Also I had to get a copy of a referral letter to chase up a missing gastric referral, in her covering letter she inaccurately lists off my medical, problems, including stating normal kidney function - even though the attached diagnosis list, shows CDK stage 3,

She did check a urine sample for infection, but only because I insisted & had it ready - she said it was "fine" - i usually have protein & blood show up & as it was frothy, I suspect the protein would be at least as bad as previous test, more likely worse.

Having asked for a blood check this week I was refused as she says that I had one back in October. I tried to explain that my skin becoming suddenly much more dry is something I've been told by a kidney specialist in the past, is a sign of trouble, she ignored this. I thought I was meant to have more regular blood testing, but she insists no more than every 6 months at most is needed.

I was discharged from the Renal Clinic to GP care as it was felt my lifestyle etc managed my condition well, but things have changed that affect my kidneys.

I was on a high BP drug, but have had to come off it as realised it was aggravating breathlessness of more recently diagnosed POTs, so that concerns me, as does my taking in monitored Vit D pills for other health problems

Any advice or info appreciate

TIA
