a friend of mine and his partner are suffering the most horrendous symptoms and i wonder if anyone can help work out what they have?
both of them are getting absesses and boils that cause horrendous swelling. my friends hand is currently twice its usual size. he has what looks like a boil on a finger but the swelling and redness have extended way up his hand and wrist.
he keeps getting these all over the body. his partner has one that will not go despite antibiotics and repeated visits to a specialist.
he mentioned that they both swam in lakes in a france.
it seems too much a coincidence that they both are suffering the same thing.
he says he has had blood tests but nothing was diagnosed.
what could cause boils/swellings like this?
