How can I bring my period on?

I wouldn't normally do this but I need to push my period along ! I got married a couple of weeks ago and I think the stress of it all has messed my cycle up. It's seven weeks today since my last period and I want to try a natural remedy as I'm away on hols next week and that would be bad timing if it came then! I have tried parsley tea but I hate it! Thanks !

So you are ca 3 week late? Would run it via GP. No idea if there is any medication to induce a period.

I used norethisterone (sp?)last year to delay a period (holiday).

suppose you POAS?

WaxOnWaxOff · 22/02/2015 22:30

you need to POAS.

I'm not pregnant and have had tests at gp to show all ok but had extremely busy couple of months. I can get irregular periods at times like this. Just want to bring it on but without medication.

Buy a pair of expensive pants & wear them under white jeans.

LadySybilLikesSloeGin · 22/02/2015 22:42

Go to your GP and ask for some Northisterone. They will stop your period until you stop taking them. If you can't speed it up, you may as well put it on hold.

Careful with Norethisteron, I took it over my honeymoon and it made me horrendously moody. I don't (think I) usually suffer too badly with PMT-type mood swings.

LadySybilLikesSloeGin · 22/02/2015 22:48

PMT or blood on your honeymoon.

artylady14 · 22/02/2015 22:49

Haha Eastpoint! Highly likely. I took norethisterone once and it messed up my cycles for months so trying to avoid medication.

I don't think you can 'bring it on' ... the period starts however many days after ovulation (more than a week, IIRC). Sorry - I used to be totally random if I wasn't on the pill (PCOS) so I know it's a nuisance.

Gileswithachainsaw · 22/02/2015 22:52

plan an exotic holiday and buy a miniscule white bikini.

GertrudeBell · 22/02/2015 22:53

Exercise brings it on if I'm close to starting.

Apparently massaging your abdomen with jasmine and clary sage essential oils (diluted in a carrier oil eg almond oil or jojoba oil) can help with this.

artylady14 · 22/02/2015 22:57

Thanks all. I am off to the gym tomorrow!

Good luck!

MilfordCubicle · 22/02/2015 23:03

Sage tea.

Thistledew · 22/02/2015 23:05

Red Clover and/or Raspberry Leaf. You can get capsules from Holland and Barrett.

artylady14 · 22/02/2015 23:19

Thanks for those suggestions Smile
