Hi all, My daughter has just turned one. She has had numerous coughs and colds over the past months. She eats loads of fruit and veg and is generally very healthy. Im wondering if i should get her some vitamin drops to build up her immune system. Can anyone help!!

I think you can use something called Abidec (not sure os spelling..) at that age - it's in liquid form so you would be giving it on a spoon.

Hi, have a look at Cytoplan as they do vitamins in powder form which can be added to drinks-my ds has been using them for years (we use BioVital Junior). They're also really good at getting back to you if you email them for advice on their products.

Go to pharmacist & ask for 'vitamin drops' e.g Dalivit or Abidec. Can mix them with breckfasy. My DDs had them from about 1m old - 2yrs.

Don't think they are necessary TBH. It is good that she gets coughs and colds to build up her immune system. On saying that, I used to give my wee ones cod liver oil syrup with added vitamins - Seven Seas.

I've just bought haliborange mutivitamin liquid. DD has a really good varied diet but she has had one cold after another since she started nursery in January. She is on long term AB's as well but she still gets them. I'm hoping the extra vitamins will help.

Thanks alot everyone!! I guess i just worry a little too much sometimes, this is my first so i dont know what to expect. I just like to be careful. I dont think it will do her any harm to go onto some vitamins either way.
