Back story. I've just stopped Bf nine month old dd. RA under control pre and during preg but hellish for the past six months. Until this week I've been getting by with various doses of prednisone, steroid injections, and painkillers but it feels like over the last month the RA has spiralled again, it's pretty hideous and relentless right now, couple of hours to get going each morning and at some point every day one joint or another 'goes', just hideous sharp nervy type bone pain, stiffness and total lack of strength or mobility. I'm exhausted.
I've taken my first dose of MTX on Monday, by Monday afternoon I'd developed a horrible stiff neck which got worse overnight then eased off, came back again last night and eased again. Is this usual? I can't find anything online about this as a side effect and will be contacting my team in the morning. I also have dreadful inner elbow pain, and right knee pain tonight, can't lift my baby or dress myself. It's misery.
Before I was of, I had pretty much no symptoms since initial diagnosis and medication regime. Now it seems that this is the reality. Does this seem normal, I'm struggling to remember 'before'. I'm also on 15mg steroids daily.
