Pain in left breast..

About a week ago I started to get pain in both my breasts, the same as when your on your period pain but I was actually two weeks away from my period but I thought maybe I was coming on early, I never did. And now the pain has localised to one breast, I can't feel or see any lumps neither can my partner. My left breast is firmer and slightly larger than the right but it has always been that way since I was a teen and was taught that was normal, the pain is just that it's sore dull ache not really sure else how to describe itConfused I'm going to book a Drs app. this morning but I wondered if anyone else has had this and is it normal or abnormal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

Do go to the doctor's but please don't worry yourself to death, breast pain is very rarely a breast cancer sign. Particularly if it's in both your breasts. I quite often get stabbing pains in either breast leading up to my period.

I'm not a doctor though so do see your GP.

I could have written your post yesterday, exactly the same as you, I took some ibuprofen yesterday and today it's fine, if it comes back I will go to Dr s , hope all goes well

Thanks! It's just cause the pains not going away at all, but I don't want to google it cause that will just make me worry but to hear other people get it too makes me feel better, I've got an Drs app on Tuesday just to be safe x

Just so you know it would be more of a concern if it was localised to one breast. even with that breast pain is really not a typical sign of breast cancer (just look on the nhs website), despite what various internet forums may say!! x

Thanks for all your help, I know I am a worrier, but this is all new to me somehow I've always managed to avoid boob pain and it's just suddenly come on so it is a bit strange for me, I have to admit I've stayed clear of all websites I've only posted on here as I thought I'd get back sensible advice and I have :)

2 weeks away from your period you say?
Until I began trying to conceive I didn't realise that I had symptoms similar to PMT at the time I ovulate too. Painful breasts being one of those symptoms, my boobs actually hurt me more at that time than they do before my period, to be honest.
Good you've got an appt with the GP but try to keep an eye on what times of the month it begins/ends.
