"Flu" type virus. Who else has it/has had it?

DP went down with it on the 6th Feb and still has it. Tonight he seems to have gone down hill with it again as has DD (3.5). I've had it since the middle of last week along with my DD (14 months) just can't seem to bloody shake it. Please tell me I'm not alone. I feel so down and miserable.

I started a thread on this a couple of days ago. You have my sympathy. Not sure where it came from but started feeling shaky and shivery last Sunday. By Wednesday still felt really rough and also had palpitations and light headedness. Now on day 7 and I'm back at work but still feel low and quite depressed too. Don't get me started on the cough! Really hope you feel better soon. By the way a friend who had it said it took her nearly three weeks to feel vaguely normal.

There is loads of it about. I try to avoid having people to come and see me in the early stages but by week 2 some people are feeling worse and I see them to exclude secondary infection and of course the elderly and immunosuppressed need assessing with more care. Where I am it seems to be influenza A that is circulating. I just hope I don't get it especially with the flu vaccine not being so effective this year.
