Had anyone got a purple freckle??

as i have - 2 as one on my breast and one on my leg. the one on the breast had been there on and off over the years but now its there permantly and the one on the leg been there for the past 2 weeks

what is it?

TBH, I'd be seeing a GP about it as I'm a bit paranoid about freckles and moles

its not raised - just exactly like a very small freckle but purple.

I have loads of them, all developed in my 30s.

My GP says they are nothing to worry about but I do still occasionally get paranoid as my dad had loads and in later years developed skin cancer. However, I must stress, none of the freckles where actually in areas where he had malignancies.

Cherry angioma is what my GP said they were.

mine is really dark purple as im a freckly person anyway

I can't find any darker pics but they do range from cherry red to deep purple.

I have had a very dark purple one on my arm for at least the last 10 years.I did mention it to my doctor ages ago,who told me it was nothing to worry about and basically laughed when I asked if it could be removed.If it isn't raised or changing in size or colour,it's probably the same as I have,which I wouldn't worry about.

bubb - well we have got every right to panick over a slightest thing on our body as same here too!
