Prozac - is it making you sweat more?

I have been on prozac for almost 10months now and for the last few months I have been more sweaty than normal....I now carry a deodrant to work with me and use it a couple of times a day.

I din't think to connect it with the prozac but read an extract from prozac nation in the paper recently which mentioned a side effect was excess sweating.

I am really paranoid of giving of an unpleasant odour.....has anyone else noticed that prozac has caused them to sweat more.

Are you just more sweaty or generally feel hot most of the time.

DH was on it for nearly a year, and in the last few months got really hot all the time, so we argued every time I turned the heating on, and he dripped with sweat often too. His GP didn't think it was a side effect except that he'd also put weight on, but the hotness and sweating have subsided now that he's off it.

My friend got excess sweating as a side-effect when on Prozac.

...thank goodness its not just me!! but I still feel so uncomfortable and paranoid I smell.

Think I am generally hotter as well, but is there anything I can do about it other than a lot more deodrant as I am not quite ready to give up the ADs just yet.

If you wash every day and use deodorants I'm sure that you will not smell! BO happens when you do not wash the bacteria away. Yes, there are some cases of people smelling even with washing and deodorants, but I think that they are few and far between.
