Ds recovering from this it started with a cough and high temp and has kept him immobilised on the sofa for three days. He has been left with a chesty cough but is now back at school.

DH and I have had it for four days now and I wonder if anyone else has had it as we have been completely wiped out by it. DS had the benefit of laying on the sofa until he felt better but with other children to look after and a house to run DH and I have not!!

Anyone else recovering? I am still chesty but wonder whether I need to leave it a few more days before speaking to a GP as I am still having a temp at night.

We've got it. DC1 started with it about 3 weeks ago - she's had one lot of antibiotics and now on an inhaler, back at school but the cough is keeping her up at night. DC2 and I have just gone down with it. I've spent the morning in bed (the DCs are both in school). Hoping to clear the worst before half term but lots of children off school and lots of parents ill as well - the consensus is that it takes about three weeks to shift it properly.

Three weeks to shift! I have been going back to bed and am gradually getting better but it is difficult with kids isn't it?

Yes I'm coughing and wheezing dreadfully?? I've been put on nebulisers as I was having difficulty breathing. Only had today off sick but somehow have to drag myself back in to work tomorrow as they absolutely can't spare me

Yep. Dd has had it for three weeks. We went back to the Doctor today.
I've had it for about three weeks too.
It is way worse some days than others.
It's pissing me off massively.
