Tired all the time

I constantly feel tired. I usually have at least 8 hours sleep a night (around 11pm-7am), but often have more, sometimes 10 or more! But I never ever wake feeling refreshed, and I'm yawning and feeling knackered all day. I sleep well at night and don't struggle to drop off. This isnt normal, is it?

This has been going on for ages but there was always something to blame it on, depression, breastfeeding, DD waking etc. Dd sleeps through now, and my mood is better than its ever been.

I've made an appointment to see my doctor and ask for a blood test. I assume they'll check for anaemia, and my thyroid, anything else? Will they check for vitamin/mineral deficiencies other than iron or do I need to ask?

I'd ask for B12, folate and vitamin D as well.
