Laryngitis - completely fed up.....

I started with a terrible cold on Wednesday and that evening I had the worst coughing fit ever. Thursday morning woke up croaky and as the day went on my voice vanished completely. Literally to a whisper... I took Friday off work but dont get paid for the forst few days and cant afford another day off and im due back in tomorrow. Spent most of today in bed. My voice is a little better but now sound like what only can be described as a hoarse phone sex worker

Last time I had Laryngitis many years ago it left me with nodules and I sounded terrible for the best part of a year, or atleast felt that long, until it was back to normal. I'm really scared it's going to happen again.
To make things worse I now think I have bronchitis

I have very similar to you. Started with a cold with a bad cough. NOw a chest infection with green gunk. Have bad asthma anyway so am really struggling. Plus have only a tiny croaky voice. Loads at kids school have it and have been off.

My Dad had just been to deliver ice lollies to me!

Do you think i'll need antibiotics for my chest. I only finished a course for sinusitis last week? It's one bastard thing after another what next?

I feel a bit better tonight but I tend to always perk up in the evenings when im ill. Ive had a steamy shower and spent pretty much the whole day with my head over a bowl of hot water. Very attractive!
