Should I come off my Pill?

Hi,
I have been feeling so different for last few weeks, moody and tired and just generally snappy. Not sure if it's down to my pill and I want to come off it.
I have been taking it for years and stopped to have ds, since going back on it (same one) I haven't been feelig myself.
I have spotting between pills and having pains. Am seeing the doctor next week, and not sure what to do.
I can't face the idea of having a coil or having other things put inside me!

Just need to chat.

Hi...
How about the injections? Not sure about contraception as I dont use it, but if the pill isnt making you feel well, theres no point carrying on.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 21/10/2006 12:59

I was thinking about injections, don't know anything about it though.
Have been searching web but so much gumph to go through and thought mumsnet might help!

sorry no idea - think coil might.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 21/10/2006 13:04

Thought of a coil makes my skin crawl!
Looks like it may have to be condoms, which I hate.

Thanks Queen, just feels good to get it off my chest.
I have been so snappy last few days and having headaches. Looking forward to going to hairdressers later!
I did wonder if I may be pg, but I have had a af 2 weeks ago and too early for a test.

you have to scroll to bottom of that link.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 21/10/2006 13:24

I have found it, had good read about injections so am going to ask doc about that next week. The patches one is weird, never heard of this! I suffer from dermatitis (skin complaint) so this is not for me. Good easy to read link, just what I need lol! Thanks.

How about trying a different brand of pill?

mumfor1standfinaltime · 21/10/2006 14:24

Hi, I did think about this too. I wonder whether to try mini pill.

Am in simialr position Mumfor1st and posted a thread recently. Am worried about the side effects of the pill especially the possible links to breast cancer, but am not overly keen on the alternatives.

Blondilocks · 21/10/2006 19:23

My friend was on the one pill & was very moody & unhappy & the dr changed it & the next one was fine.

It seems to vary so much between different people & I've read things where it's taken trying several different ones before they find one that's ok for them.

mumfor1standfinaltime · 23/10/2006 14:04

The alternatives do seem 'messy' don't they!

I have been on this pill for 13 years (one and only one I've been on) so it does feel weird that it is causing me to feel different, I am guessing that my body has changed from having ds.
