Footwear for half marathon

Hi there! Can anyone advise me on decent footwear for walking a half marathon? I could do with avoiding blisters if possible. Thank you.

You need double layer socks (I love my thousand mile ones), and some well fitted walking shoes or trainers. Which brand will depend on your foot shape
