Does this sound like a migraine?

I keep feeling unwell after ovulation until I get my period but each month it gets worse.

I have phantom smells, most commonly burning but also a really horrible manure smell. Everything smells really intense, dh put some aftershave or deodorant on in the bathroom earlier and the smell is so strong it made me feel nauseous. Food tastes like sour milk.

My ear aches and my vision is alternating from between being blurry or double vision. I feel like I'm under water and detached from everything around me. I don't even understand what people are saying half the time I feel like I'm having to translate their words from another language.

I'm hyper sensitive and argumentative. Even a trip to the supermarket isn't worth it because I will end up being upset by someone or I will come away seething.

My heart is pounding and I can't sleep because I keep jolting myself awake as it feels like I'm having a heart attack. When I do sleep I have terrible nightmares.

This has been going on for a while now but this month I feel particularly bad.

It could very well be a migraine, but needs a GP visit and assessment to just check things out

Not like any migraine I've had but they can be very strange (my first few were all about lost vision with no headaches) - could be hormonal? Change of pill/HRT if older? GP visit required I think.

check out the other strange migraine thread - sounds similar in parts

Does not sound like migraine to me. But you need to see your fr asap. Any changes in vision like that. It sounds more like severe PMS and anxiety.

Hi. It sounds like panic/anxiety. I suffer migraines but have none of the smell symptoms. See your GP and try an app called headspace before bedtime, I might help to clear your thoughts before sleep. Hope by feel better soon x
