Dd 6 woke up with one bright red cheek today, I thought she had slept funny on it. When I picked her up from school today the teacher said she thought she had slapped cheek and she'd been quiter than usual at school. She has had a mild cold but nothing else my other dd 2 has also been tired and coldy. Problem is i've had two friends over with baby's this week, one who is 15 weeks pregnant. I have let them both know, but should I take dd to gp to confirm? help! feel awful always seems to be my kids with contagious things and always over holidays !

Hi - I'd ring and talk to the GP - they may be able to diagnose over the phone or else ask you to come in at a less busy time to avoid passing it on.
