How long after ablation till hysterectomy?

Good afternoon. I've had hormonal/women's trouble for years. Tried every pill and potion but none has helped. My gp sent me to a gynescologist who told me I couldn't have a hysterectomy until I've had an ablation. Which within the next breath he more or less said not that it will helpHmm Anyway I had the ablation last September and it hasn't made an iota of difference. Is it worth asking for a hysterectomy yet ? Has anyone else had experience please ?

I would return to the GP and ask for a referral to another gynae. Not all of them are either up to date on current procedures by any means.

Do you have a diagnosis of the underlying problem, why was the ablation done in the first place?.

If it is endometriosis (and that can cause heavy bleeding) a hyst as well may not cure this particularly if there is any bowel/intestines involvement.

It is not a bleeding problem it is a hormonal problem. I am just a totally different person I get migraines and nausea/ sickness every month ! I'm a childminder and so lucky to have 3 very understanding Mums that put up with my rubbish schedules ! I also have IBS which I pretty much control with diet and know my trigger foods but when its period time its terrible Sad
