DS 3 and food intolerances

DS aged 3 has awful diarrhoea which I am convinced is related to food he eats. One food which we know triggers diarrhoea is chocolate which we have eliminated from his diet and the situation was alot better however he is now back to diarrhoea and I haven't a clue what has caused it. It isn't a bug as it has a) gone on for too long b) he's fine in himself c) he's eating normally etc.

Saw nurse practitioner this morning at my sugery who suggested a stool sample which we are doing and also contacting my Health Visitor as apparently she is excellent in situations like this.

HV phoned me and basically said read the birth to five book and that is it!

Any advice on what to do? who I need to speak to?

Anything would be helpful, DS is off nursery again even though the nursery are quite happy to take him as they know he has food intolerances but I cannot expect them to deal with his poo like this!

Thanks

Could it be toddler diarrhoea as he is otherwise totally ?
Have you tried cutting out things like fruit juices and squash?
